Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson has had an unbelievable career in the NFL. Through his first eight years in the league, Jackson has thrown for 22,608 yards and 187 touchdowns with 56 interceptions. His 102.2 career passer rating is the highest in NFL history. He has also been phenomenal on the ground, rushing for 6,522 yards and 35 more scores.
Jackson has had four Pro Bowl selections, three First Team All-Pro selections and won two AP NFL MVP awards in his Ravens tenure.
The 29-year-old Pompano Beach, Florida, native was selected by Baltimore with the 32nd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and has been with the Ravens his entire career.
Jackson and the Ravens struggled in the 2025 season, as the team finished the season with an 8-9 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since the 2021 season.
The versatile quarterback dealt with injury issues throughout the year. He played in just 13 games, going 6-7 in those appearances. He completed 63.6% of his passes for 2,549 yards and 21 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He ran just 67 times for 349 yards, both of which were career lows.
Jackson is entering the fourth season of a five-year, and $260 million contract extension he signed with the Ravens before the 2023 season. On Tuesday, Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta provided an update on where things stand on a potential contract extension with Jackson.
"DeCosta did say he’s confident that he and Lamar will be able to reach agreement on an extension," said The Athletic reporter Jeff Zrebiec.

Jackson will account for $74.5 million against the Ravens' cap in 2026 and 2027, so a potential extension or restructure would be good for Baltimore's books ahead of next season.
The new league year begins on March 11.
