Ravens Share Lamar Jackson Injury Update After Missed Practice

Baltimore Ravens fans sounded the alarms when Lamar Jackson left practice early on Wednesday, especially after watching him miss Thursday's practice as well.

Jackson got his foot stepped on and left the field with roughly 40 minutes left in practice. It was the first time he missed practice this offseason.

Fortunately, head coach John Harbaugh just confirmed that it was just due to precautionary reasons, and further testing showed no damage or any serious injury.

Lamar Jackson is 'Good,' Says John Harbaugh

"Yeah, he got his foot stepped on, like we said yesterday," Harbaugh said. "They did a quick X-Ray and there's no damage or anything like that. I'm sure he's a little sore today, so we just kept him in, but he's fine, he's gonna be good."

The Ravens will close out the preseason with a Maryland derby against the Washington Commanders on Saturday. From then, they'll have 17 games to get back to full strength for their season opener vs. Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

Lamar Jackson Feels Better Than Ever

All eyes will be on Jackson and the Ravens after another disappointing end to last season. Despite his regular-season dominance, he has yet to show the same prowess in the playoffs. This time, however, Jackson likes his chances:

"To be honest, yeah," the Louisville product told the team's official website last month. "Just going off of the experience that I have, the experience that we got coming back, yeah, I'd say so."

Jackson, who's expected to fetch another major payday with his next extension, is already a two-time MVP and is considered to be one of the greatest dual-threat quarterbacks to ever lace them up. Then again, none of that will matter until he finally gets over the hump and leads his star-studded team back to the mountaintop.
