The Baltimore Ravens called on Isaiah Likely to fill in for Mark Andrews last month.

Andrews suffered a reported crack fibula and ankle ligament injury during the Ravens’ home matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Andrews was later placed on the injured reserve list, and he will at the least miss Baltimore’s next two games.

Likely reached out to Andrews after the Ravens’ win over the Bengals, and the three-time Pro Bowler had a simple message for him.

"I told him, I called him, texted him like 'Hey, whenever you're ready to talk, like I want to talk to you, make sure your head's okay rather than just talk to you as a football player,'" Likely said on BaltimoreRavens.com's "The Lounge" podcast. "He texted me the next day saying like, 'Lamar needs you. It's your time. Be who you are.'

"We just talked about like, making sure he's in good spirits, making sure he still got that smile that Mark has and understand that if I need an outlet, he's always going to be there."

Likely has since made the most out of his golden opportunity in being Baltimore’s go-to tight end. He tallied nine receptions for 123 receiving yards in Baltimore’s last two games. He opened up the scoring for the Ravens in their home win over the Los Angeles Rams with a 54-yard receiving touchdown.

Likely has logged 18 catches for 212 receiving yards in his ongoing second season with the Ravens.
