Ravens 'very hopeful' QB Lamar Jackson will participate in Tuesday walkthrough

As of Friday afternoon, Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson was on track to start Sunday's game at the Chicago Bears after he missed practices because of an illness said to be unrelated to COVID-19. However, the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player was surprisingly inactive Sunday, and backup Tyler Huntley helped the Ravens earn a hard-fought 16-13 win that improved them to 7-3. 

According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN, Ravens coach John Harbaugh told reporters Monday he's "very hopeful" Jackson will participate in Tuesday's walkthrough ahead of Sunday's prime-time divisional showdown with the 6-5 Cleveland Browns. 

"He felt good today," Harbaugh said of Jackson. "I don't know how good. But he feels much better today, from what I was told. I haven't seen him."

Huntley completed 26-of-36 passes for 219 yards, no touchdowns and an interception with an additional 40 yards on seven carries. More importantly, he guided Baltimore on a game-winning drive capped by a Devonta Freeman rushing touchdown with under 30 seconds remaining. 

Jackson, meanwhile, was so under the weather he didn't "even know the plane landed" ahead of the Chicago game, as described by Ryan McFadden of the Baltimore Sun. 

As for the Browns, starting quarterback Baker Mayfield is set to remain in the lineup through Sunday night as he continues to deal with multiple injury setbacks that impacted him throughout Sunday's 13-10 victory over the winless Detroit Lions.
