The second week of training camp just wrapped up for the Baltimore Ravens, and many players are starting to separate themselves from the pack. It was the first week with pads, so the guys in the trenches had a huge opportunity to stand out, and many of the players with the highest expectations did just that.

However, some players have yet to break out or have fallen victim to unfortunate injuries. Preseason is just a week away, so there will be countless other reps for them to showcase their talents, but the early training camp showing is not helping their case. Here are two winners and two losers from week two of Ravens training camp.

Winners and losers from week 2 of training camp

Winner: Lamar Jackson

Two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson has been on fire all camp long. He has been delivering countless strikes and is building a strong connection with new wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. The crazy thing is, he is only getting better, and offensive coordinator Todd Monken put the league on notice.

“I think there’s a lot left there for him in terms of growth. I think he sees the field better now, even two years ago,” Monken said. “I really think he’s just getting started with his abilities. He’s always had the ability as a playmaker and to run with the ball, but his ability as he’s improved greatly, which is a huge credit to him, in his ability to throw the football to win at all times of the game.”

Jackson is also a winner due to the talent his receiving group has shown. From top to bottom, there are playmakers flashing greatness in the past two weeks. This is the best unit Jackson has ever been a part of, and he is bound to lead another historic offensive season in 2025.

Winner: Mike Green

Mike Green was already starting to emerge in week one, but once the pads went on in week two, he took over. Coaches were impressed with his intelligence and communication early on, and now they are starting to see what made him such a great prospect coming out of Marshall.

The 22-year-old is displaying his hard work ethic and twitchiness on each rep, and has even been flashing his power. In a stacked pass rush room, the snaps could be hard to come by early in the season, but Green is showing he is capable of handling his role. If he continues this, it could become hard to keep him out of the starting rotation.

Loser: Tylan Wallace

There has not been much to come out regarding veteran wide receiver Tylan Wallace this training camp. Baltimore re-signed him to a one-year contract worth $2.25 million and will likely keep him as a rotational weapon in their offense. However, with how other wideouts have been performing, Wallace could see his role decrease.

Devontez Walker has broken onto the scene as a marquee weapon in training camp and is quickly flying up on people’s radars. Rookie LaJohntay Wester is also turning heads, looking for snaps in his first NFL season. The two wideouts could be deemed two of the biggest winners so far in training camp, and could prove to be strong competition for Wallace’s wide receiver four spot.

Loser: Emery Jones Jr.

Emery Jones Jr. was drafted out of LSU in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft. With that draft pedigree, Baltimore has big plans for the rookie, but he has yet to see the field due to a labrum injury. After missing two weeks of training camp, he has fallen far behind in the left guard battle.

While drafted as a tackle, many believe Jones could switch inside to guard, which would make the most sense given Baltimore’s offensive guard situation. It will be difficult for him to see the starting time in 2025, though. Andrew Vorhees and Ben Cleveland are earning the coaching staff’s trust in camp, and neither has given the other an edge in the competition. Jones already has a tough road back from injury, but the road back to reps could be even tougher.
