Ravens Young Corner Labeled 'Name to Watch'

The Baltimore Ravens allowed the second-most passing yards in the NFL this past season with just under 250 per game.

But that does not mean that their secondary is not without its bright spots.

In a recent article by ESPN's Ben Solak, he puts together a list of things to know before the 2025 regular season begins. He named a few player and coaches to watch going forward, and one player he lists is young Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins.

"Wiggins was nominally the Ravens' CB2 last season... But he was functionally their CB1," Solak wrote. "Highly competitive and physical at the line of scrimmage, Wiggins played his best ball against his best opponents. He wasn't perfect, but rookie corners rarely are. If he plays with greater consistency, he'll be considered one of the league's better starting corners."

The Ravens have veteran defensive back Marlon Humphrey on the other side of Wiggins, but aside from them, they do not have a lot of depth at the corner position.

So the team will be hoping that the 21-year-old can take a big leap in his sophomore season.

He finished 2024 with 33 total tackles and a forced fumble. He was also able to show his ball-hawk skills with 13 passes defended and an interception that he took back to the house.

The Ravens fell in the AFC Divisional round this past season to the Buffalo Bills, so Wiggins and the rest of the team's defense will be looking to help them get back to the playoffs to redeem themselves.
