Recently released former Wisconsin, Vikings OL makes sense for Packers

General manager Brian Gutekunst and the Green Bay Packers might not be done adding offensive line depth, yet.

After acquiring Darien Kinnard in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, a move that adds quality veteran depth with starter upside, the Packers could look to claim another offensive lineman recently released by a division rival with Badger State roots.

Logan Brown is a fit for Packers as possible waiver claim

After being released by the Minnesota Vikings, former Wisconsin standout Logan Brown could be a top waiver wire target for the Packers, says PackersWire’s Justis Mosqueda.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound Brown was an anchor along the Badgers’ offensive line during his time in Madison, and eventually the Kansas Jayhawks, but never found his way onto the field for the Vikings after signing as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft.

If the Packers are looking to create further competition for former first-round pick Jordan Morgan or aren’t convinced the depth at the position is up to standard, Brown could be an interesting target either as a waiver claim or practice squad addition.

Green Bay and every other NFL team has until Tuesday at 4 p.m. to trim the roster to 53 players ahead of the 2025 regular season kicking off.
