RECRUITING: Clemson Starts Huge Weekend With 2 Commitments

As official visit season hits high gear, several top programs are hosting a number of elite recruits. Clemson is one of these programs, and they took advantage quickly by grabbing two commitments on Friday.

First to join the party was three-star wide receiver Julian Cromartie (The Woodlands, TX). He didn’t receive his offer from the Tigers until a week ago, but quickly scheduled an official visit and then committed. Cromartie already took a visit to Kansas and had scheduled additional ones to Kentucky and Arkansas in June before making his decision on Friday.

Cromartie, the son of former NFL cornerback Antonio Cromartie, burst onto the recruiting scene during the 2025 season when he totaled 42 receptions for 824 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Later on Friday, four-star defensive end Santana Harvey (Lakeland, FL) also committed to the Tigers. Harvey had additional visits scheduled in June to Florida State, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame, but is expected to cancel them.

Harvey has dominated at the high school level, having totaled 36.5 tackles for loss and 20.5 sacks during his last two seasons at Lakeland High School.

This increases Clemson’s total of Class of 2027 commitments to 15, including six four-stars. With several other elite recruits still on campus, including four-stars Ta’Shawn Poole (Macon, GA), Cahron Wheeler (Baltimore, MD) and Jayden Aparicio-Bailey (Prattville, AL), more good news may be on the way this weekend in Death Valley.
