The NFC South is not a good division by NFL's standards. The teams tied atop the division are all 6-7. The last place team is easily the league's worst at 1-12.
The New Orleans Saints still have a shot at the division title, but what competition do they and the rest of the division have to deal with as the season winds down?
The Saints' remaining schedule includes the New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Atlanta Falcons.
The Atlanta Falcons have the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints on tap to finish the regular season. For the Bucs, they've got the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, and Carolina Panthers left.

Accordingly, the matchups between the three in contention for the division will decide who takes the cakes in the NFC South.
In all likelihood, the Saints-Falcons matchup in Week 18 may be for all of the division's marbles. Unluckily for New Orleans, they are 0-2 so far against Tampa Bay and Atlanta.
That means that they're climbing an uphill battle in terms of tiebreakers. The Saints really need to win both of their remaining NFC South battles. In terms of winning percentage, the Falcons have the easiest remaining road to the postseason over the final month of play.
