The Raiders plan to hold on to the league's leading rusher, Josh Jacobs, the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Vincent Bonsignore reported.
"I would almost say that it's 100 percent (that) Josh Jacobs will be back next year," Bonsignore told KRLV-AM in Las Vegas recently.
Through 16 games, Jacobs rushed for 1,608 yards, more than Cleveland's Nick Chubb (1,448), Tennessee's Derrick Henry (1,429) and New York's Saquon Barkley (1,312). He has 12 rushing touchdowns, tied for fifth in the league.

The Raiders don't immediately have to sign Jacobs to a pricey, multi-year contract. They can apply the franchise tag, preventing Jacobs from signing with another team in free agency.
Regardless, keeping Jacobs is imperative.
The 24-year-old is entering his prime and breaking records. He surpassed Pro Hall of Famer Marcus Allen's Raiders record of most rushing yards (4,638) through a player's first four seasons with 4,695 yards.
