Report: Aaron Rodgers hasn’t yet gathered with Packers receivers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has remained away from the team throughout offseason activities and was absent from mandatory minicamp amid rumors he's unhappy with those running the organization and does not want to play another down for the franchise.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported Tuesday that the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player has not yet gathered Green Bay wide receivers or other offensive teammates for on-the-field summer workouts. It's unknown if the 37-year-old still signed through 2023 will report for the start of training camp later this month.

Last week, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler explained Rodgers and the Packers had begun "early" talks about what comes next for all involved. The disgruntled signal-caller then said Monday he has spent the bulk of the offseason worrying about things other than playing football at the highest level.

"I'm very thankful for the opportunity to work on my mental health," Rodgers commented at that time. "I haven't dealt with bouts of depression or anything, that I think for whatever reason, are OK to talk about if you're talking about mental health. I've just really been trying to think about what puts me in the best frame of mind. What habits can I form that allow me to feel most in my body, most present, happiest? And that's what I've been doing."
