Report: 'At least five teams' showing interest in Amari Cooper
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper. Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys are preparing to move on from wide receiver Amari Cooper, but it does not sound like he will be without a job for long.

At least five teams have already discussed adding Cooper either via trade or after the Cowboys release him, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Those teams were not named, but it figures that anyone in the wide receiver market is at least looking into Cooper.

Cooper is due $20 million in guaranteed money on March 20, which is why the Cowboys are almost certain to move on from him. The veteran receiver was limited to 865 receiving yards in 2021, his worst full-season total since joining Dallas, although he also tied a career-high with eight touchdown catches.

One prominent team could reportedly have interest in Cooper, but they clearly will not be alone. The 27-year-old has a sturdy record of production that will entice plenty of teams.
