Report: Bengals Defensive End Coming Out Of Retirement
USA TODAY Sports

The Bengals' seventh-round pick in the 2021 draft is coming out of retirement.

According to ML Football, defensive end Wyatt Hubert isn't ready to hang up his cleats just yet.

“After being retired for the last 6-7 months. I was able to sit back and let my body just relax and heal naturally from rest," Hubert said. "Now I am confident that I can go out and perform the way I was expected to when I was initially drafted into the NFL.”

Hubert's role with Cincinnati for the upcoming season is unknown.

The 6-foot-3 defensive end was the 235th pick two years ago. He earned First-Team All-Big 12 in 2020 and retired because of his health last August.
