The Bengals are bringing in Notre Dame tight end prospect Michael Mayer for a visit on Monday.
Fox19's Joe Danneman reported the news. Cincinnati also met with Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid this week.
Mayer is the consensus top tight end and the 24th-ranked player overall. The Athletic's Dane Brugler has Mayer 19th overall and first among tight ends.
"Mayer needs to become more consistent with his blocking technique and execution, but his controlled athleticism, play strength through contact, and stellar intangibles raise his floor as a prospect," Brugler wrote in his draft guide. "He projects as a traditional Y tight end with immediate NFL starting talent."
He is a very realistic option for the Bengals at Pick 28.
