Report: Dwayne Johnson Takes Brutal Shot At Philadelphia Eagles Superstar
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Celebrity and WWE superstar Dwayne Johnson, or “The Rock” was booed by fans for being late to WWE World in Philadelphia ahead of his big match. Instead of having a good excuse for fans, Johnson took it upon himself to take a shot at the city’s beloved football team, the Philadelphia Eagles, which did not sit well with any of the fans.

Dwayne Johnson Takes Shot At Eagles Superstar

The celebrity revealed the reason why he was late to the event was because he was busy watching videos of quarterback Jalen Hurts losing in the playoffs, ticking off all of the fans in attendance.

Are you sure you want to know why The Rock was late? He was watching YouTube watching Jalen Hurts lose in the playoffs again.

Johnson referred to the Eagles losing in last year’s postseason to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round. He also is likely bringing up the team’s loss the year before the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. While Johnson was in all probability saying this to get some attention from the fans before his big match, it seemed to make him the villain in Philadelphia.

Jalen Hurts Taking Next Step?

While he has received a lot of criticism from fans, analysts, and even some players, Hurts seems to be determined to take his team to the next step of success and compete for a world championship.

I think this year has taught me so much. The first thing that you do is you look at yourself in the mirror, you look at what you could have been better at, how you could have led better, how you could have executed better.

Philadelphia Eagles Collapse

The Eagles suffered a massive collapse after being the best team in the league through Week 12, amounting to a 10-1 record. However, after their loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13, the team was only able to get one win the rest of the season and was blown out in the Wild Card round in Tampa Bay.

Several problems need to be addressed with Philadelphia, including Hurts, who seems to be in good spirits heading into next season.

[I just have to] learn from everything and be the best that I can be moving forward for everybody in this locker room and in this building.

Do you think the Eagles and Hurts will be able to turn things around this upcoming season, or will the team continue to struggle like they did at the end of last season?
