The Philadelphia Eagles are moving fast to assemble a new coaching staff for the 2021 season.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Eagles have hired former Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Shane Steichen as their next OC.
The #Eagles have agreed to terms with former #Chargers OC Shane Steichen as their new offensive coordinator, source said. He was key in the development of rookie star Justin Herbert, as new coach Nick Sirianni has quickly moved to fill his staff.

Steichen became the Chargers interim offensive coordinator during the 2019 season and was given the full-time job in 2020. He is credited with helping Justin Herbert put together a tremendous rookie campaign, which saw him set several new records.
Part of Steichen's role with the Eagles will be to get more out of Carson Wentz and Jalen Hurts, which will be no easy task. Wentz had the worst season of his career in 2020 and Hurts, while showing some promise, didn't give the Eagles anything to say he can be their franchise QB.
Steichen had been with the Chargers since 2011. He'll work under Nick Sirianni and alongside defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon.
