Report: Erin Andrews, Charissa Thompson sign ‘lucrative contract extensions’ with FOX Sports

Two of FOX Sports’ biggest media stars are staying with the company long term, according to a report from Front Office Sports. Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson have reportedly scored “lucrative contract extensions” with the media giant.

Andrews serves as a sideline reporter for FOX’s lead NFL team. Her contract, though, expired after the 2024 season.

However, FOX was careful to include her in promotional materials for the 2025 season. And now Erin Andrews is set to reprise her role under a new deal.

Thompson works for both FOX and Amazon Prime Video. She is a host of the NFL Kickoff show on FOX on Sundays, as well as Thursday Night Football on Prime Video.

Both media stars have followed a similar career arc. They began their careers at FOX Sports before progressing to ESPN. Following stints at the Worldwide Leader, both returned to FOX Sports, where they have remained staples in NFL coverage circles.

Erin Andrews proud of her Florida roots

There’s at least one college fanbase that will be thrilled to see the news about Erin Andrews reaching a new deal with FOX Sports: the Florida Gators. Andrews is a proud alumna.

Andrews graduated from Florida in the spring of 2000 and was a member of the Gators Dazzlers dance team. In 2007, she was honored with the University of Florida’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Earlier this spring, Erin Andrews got a chance to show off her fandom during March Madness. Florida made a thrilling run to the NCAA Tournament championship game, where the Gators knocked off the Houston Cougars to claim the national championship.

Andrews was quick to weigh in on social media. She wrote on Twitter: “IF YOU AIN’T A GATOR, YOU MUST BE GATOR BAIT!!!!!!!! Congrats (Gators Men’s Basketball).”
