Report: 'Full expectation' that Eagles All-Pro C Jason Kelce will play Week 1 despite elbow surgery

Philadelphia Eagles star center Jason Kelce hasn't missed a game since the 2014 season. Kelce underwent a "routine" surgery on his right elbow on Tuesday and despite their 2022 regular season opener being just over one month away, the team reportedly expects the All-Pro's consecutive games streak to remain intact.

The 34-year-old memorably announced his return for his 12th NFL season (all with the Eagles) back in March and soon signed a one-year, $14 million contract with the club for the 2022 campaign.

Kelce was selected by Philadelphia in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft and has earned four First-Team All-Pro honors and five Pro Bowl selections, securing both nods in 2021. Not only has the Ohio native not missed any contests since 2014, but the only two seasons in which Kelce has missed time were 2012 and 2014.

Kelce has appeared on the field for 100 percent of the team's offensive snaps in four separate seasons and at least 94 percent of them every year.
