Report: Jacksonville Jaguars flight delayed over four hours on tarmac after overtime loss in Indianapolis

The Jacksonville franchise can’t seem to catch a break. The Jaguars’ team plane has been sitting on the tarmac in Indy waiting for the snow to die down on Sunday night. They just suffered an overtime loss to the Colts, and their season is over after they stumbled to a 4-13 overall record. Not only that, but there are also potentially plenty of changes that will be happening in the morning in the Jags franchise (both their front office and coaching staff).

The information was passed along on Sunday evening by Tron Carter.

It’s a massive snowstorm that is expected to affect much of the country for the next couple of days. It’s threatening 60 million Americans across 30 states with severe winter weather. So, we’ll have to see how their travel is affected throughout the night.

It’s just one more thing the Jaguars have had to deal with at the end of their brutal 2024 season.

Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence had a disappointing year, completing 60.6% of his passes for 2,045 passing yards, while tossing in 11 touchdowns with seven interceptions. Jaguars’ backup quarterback Mac Jones played in nine games, completing 65.3% of his passes for 1,672 passing yards, while tossing in eight touchdowns and eight interceptions. He was sacked 14 times this year.

Jacksonville second-year running back Tank Bigsby was one of the bright spots on the roster. He tallied 168 carries for 766 rushing yards, while tallying seven touchdowns. He flashed some serious talent this season, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. He helped ease the workload of Travis Etienne, who finished with 558 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The former Clemson star played in 14 games this year for the Jags.

Jacksonville WR Brian Thomas Jr. was special in 2024

Jacksonville wideout Brian Thomas Jr. was without a doubt, the star of the franchise this year. He’s once again proof that LSU has produced some of the best wideouts in the National Football League over the years. The former first-round pick hauled in 87 catches for 1,282 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. The 1,282 receiving yards ranked him sixth in the National Football League, as did the 10 scores. With such an impressive first season, fans will be expecting even bigger things of the superstar in the 2025 campaign.

Another special piece for the Jaguars in 2024 was former Utah star Devin Lloyd. The linebacker showed the vast potential he displayed in his college days for the Utes, tallying 107 total tackles for the Jaguars this year.
