Report: Jets rejected multiple inquiries for Quinnen Williams

The New York Jets are the worst team in the NFL this season — there's no doubt about it. They could've dealt some of their players at the trade deadline in order to rack up draft picks and prepare for the future, but that's not what they did.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Jets received multiple inquiries for Quinnen Williams, but they rejected them all. New York believes the 22-year-old defensive end is too valuable and plays too important a position to deal away.

Williams didn't practice this week and has been listed as doubtful for Monday night's game against the New England Patriots. However, the No. 3 overall pick in 2019 has the potential to dominate at the NFL. That's what the Jets think, at least.

In eight games this season, Williams has three sacks, 18 solo tackles, one forced fumble, seven tackles for a loss and five quarterback hits. In 21 career games, he has 5.5 sacks, 33 solo tackles, one fumble recovery, 11 tackles for a loss and 11 quarterback hits.
