Report: Jets WR Elijah Moore not seeking trade, but wants bigger role in offense

Elijah Moore has been left on the periphery of the New York Jets offense this season and is not happy about it. However, that unhappiness has yet to reach the level of wanting a move, according to a report.

Moore is not seeking a trade from the Jets with his role reduced, according to Connor Hughes of SNY. He simply wants more targets and a greater role in the passing game.

After a promising rookie season, Moore’s fortunes have shifted this year. He caught five touchdowns in 2021 but was not even targeted in last week’s win over Green Bay. That prompted Moore to vent his frustration in a since-deleted tweet.

Moore’s reduction in targets is certainly unusual. However, it’s difficult to argue with what the Jets are doing with things going as well as they are right now.
