Report: Raiders turning down trade offers for Derek Carr

While there are rumors that the Las Vegas Raiders may trade backup quarterback Marcus Mariota, there's also been talk about the possibility of Derek Carr being traded.

Carr's brother, however, says the QB won't be dealt. David Carr, who works for NFL Network, said there has been interest in his brother, but the Raiders have turned down offers for him.

It's unclear what those offers for Carr looked like.

The Raiders refusing offers for Carr could mean a couple of things. Either they aren't interested in parting ways with their QB, or they haven't received an offer that they would be interested in. According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, Carr is not available for trade, meaning that even if the offers are reasonable, the Raiders don't want to budge.

The 29-year-old has been a staple in the Raiders' offense since being drafted in 2014. He threw for a career-high 4,103 yards and 27 touchdowns during the 2020 season, but the Raiders' inconsistencies ended up with the team finishing 8-8.
