Report: Seahawks could be interested in Baker Mayfield
Baker Mayfield has requested a trade, but the Browns say they won't accommodate it. Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Baker Mayfield wants out of Cleveland, and there is an NFC team that reportedly has interest in him.

NFL reporter Josina Anderson said on Thursday that the Seattle Seahawks have looked into acquiring Mayfield.

The Seahawks have Drew Lock, whom they acquired in the Russell Wilson trade with Denver. But Lock did not seem to be the long-term answer at quarterback for the Broncos.

Would Seattle want to bring in Mayfield and see if they can be competitive with him at quarterback? Or are the Seahawks better off fully rebuilding and trying to land a high draft pick to take a top prospect? That’s probably what they are trying to decide.

Mayfield has been inconsistent in his four years in Cleveland, alternating between good and bad seasons. He wants the Browns to trade him, but for now, they are declining his request.
