Report: Seahawks releasing two-time Pro Bowl DE Carlos Dunlap

The Seattle Seahawks are parting ways with veteran defensive end Carlos Dunlap after just half a season.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks have informed Dunlap that they will release him.

The Cincinnati Bengals traded Dunlap to Seattle in October in exchange for offensive lineman B.J. Finney and a seventh-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

He was slated to earn $10.1 million in base salary next season and carried a $14 million cap hit.

In eight games with the Seahawks, Dunlap recorded 14 tackles, five sacks and 14 quarterback hits. He spent 11 seasons with the Bengals before being moved to Seattle, recording 82.5 sacks and making it to two Pro Bowls with Cincy.
