Report suggests Texans want to bring back veteran running back for 2024 season
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans are wanting to run it back with one of their 2024 pending free agents. No, literally, they want to run it back.

The Texans have 29 free agents entering the 2024 offseason, and while last year was very successful, all things considered, they can't bring everyone back. Some players will demand more money than what the Texans want to pay, and they have to improve in some areas.

However, one player they are highly anticipating to come back for 2024 is Devin Singletary. They carried the weight of the run game as the primary back towards the end of the season.

According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson of KPCR 2, the Texans are going to explore signing more than one running back, one of them being Singletary.

Singletary finished with 898 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns for the Texans. I'm sure after the season he had, where he basically saved the poor rushing game at the end of the year, the Texans would love him back.

Now, we will see what type of deal they send to Singletary and his team.
