The Tennessee Titans could trade up

Rumors have come out recently that the Tennessee Titans could shake up the 2023 NFL Draft. NFL insider Daniel Jeremiah said the Titans could find the Arizona Cardinals as a possible trade partner. The Cardinals own the number three overall pick in the draft. The Titans could use this year’s draft to upgrade their quarterback room. However, one NFL insider isn’t sure the Titans are ready to pull the trigger.

According to the Titans website, Todd McShay of ESPN called the rumors speculative:

“I haven’t heard anything on it to be honest with you,” McShay said. “It’s more speculation, seeing (Mike) Vrabel at three of the top pro days … and seeing the staff they sent and knowing that (Ryan) Tannehill and the cap number he has, one of the highest cap numbers of the quarterbacks.”

In his most recent mock draft, McShay has the Titans using the 11th overall pick in the first round to select Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and then using the No. 41 pick in the second round to select Arkansas linebacker Drew Sanders.”

The Titans might have to give up a pretty penny to trade up that high. We’ll see if their front office thinks it’s worth the cost for whatever quarterback is there at the third spot.
