Report: Texans TE Cade Stover (foot) out indefinitely

Houston Texans tight end Cade Stover is out indefinitely after breaking his foot Sunday vs. Los Angeles, KPRC2 in Houston reported Monday.

Stover, 24, caught a team-high four passes for 22 yards in the 14-9 season-opening loss to the Rams. A fourth-round pick in the 2024 draft, he had 15 receptions for 133 yards and one touchdown as a rookie last season.

With Brevin Jordan already sidelined due to his second consecutive season-ending knee injury -- sustained during an August practice -- that leaves the Texans' tight end room without much depth. Dalton Schultz was the other active tight end Sunday, recording three catches for 28 yards.

The Texans (0-1) host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) for their home opener next Monday, Sept. 15.
