Report: Vikings acquire QB Josh Dobbs from Cardinals
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Vikings acquired quarterback Josh Dobbs from the Arizona Cardinals, NFL Network reported on Tuesday.

The reported move comes two days after Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins sustained a season-ending torn right Achilles injury.

Per an ESPN report, the Vikings also acquired a seventh-round pick in the deal and sent a sixth-round pick to the Cardinals.

In addition to Dobbs, the Vikings also have rookie Jaren Hall and Nick Mullens in their quarterback room. Mullens still is on injured reserve but is eligible to be activated ahead of Week 10.

Dobbs, 28, completed 62.8 percent of his passes for 1,569 yards with eight touchdowns and five interceptions in eight games this season. He has thrown for 2,025 yards with 10 touchdowns and eight picks in 16 games with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans and Cardinals.

Cousins, 35, was injured in the final minutes of the Vikings' 24-10 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

He completed 23 of 31 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns before his injury. He finished his season with 2,331 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.
