The Los Angeles Rams acquired cornerback Roger McCreary and a sixth-round draft pick from the Tennessee Titans on Monday in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick, according to multiple reports Monday.
McCreary, 25, is expected to help a Rams defensive secondary that has used safety Quentin Lake in single-man coverage at times. Los Angeles continues to look for improvement from cornerback and former first-round draft pick Emmanuel Forbes Jr., who they claimed off waivers in December.
McCreary had an interception with 33 tackles in eight games (three starts) for the Titans this season. In four seasons with Tennessee, after he was a second-round draft pick in 2022 out of Auburn, McCreary has three interceptions with 253 tackles in 55 games (38 starts).
The Titans (1-7) are expected to receive the Rams' draft pick toward the top of the fifth round.
The Rams (5-2) are coming off their bye week and return to action Sunday at home against the New Orleans Saints. Rams right tackle Rob Havenstein (ankle) and wide receiver Puka Nacua (ankle) are both expected to return to practice and play on Sunday, Rams coach Sean McVay said at Monday's press conference.
Los Angeles is tied for first place in the NFC West with the Seattle Seahawks.
