We are just over a couple of weeks away from the 2025 NFL Draft where the Ohio State Buckeyes are set to be well represented.

Ohio State has a chance to challenge the 15 players that Georgia had drafted during the 2022 NFL Draft. Returning a bunch of draft-eligible players as well as a few key transfers went hand in hand for the National Championship season that OSU just had.

Of course, Ohio State will have their starting quarterback drafted and it is up in the air where Will Howard could land. Some believe that he will go early on Day 3, while others believe he could be a Day 2 guy.

In a recent mock draft from ESPN’s Field Yates, he has the New Orleans Saints selected Howard in the second round with the 61st overall pick.

"Derek Carr's contract restructure means he will stick in New Orleans for at least one more season, but nothing is guaranteed beyond that. Spencer Rattler flashed in his rookie season, but he's no sure thing as a 2024 fifth-rounder. Howard, though, is accurate and mobile. He threw 35 touchdown passes last season, and he ran for seven more scores." — Field Yates, ESPN

Howard upped his draft stock with the Buckeyes in 2024, especially when the competition was at its highest during the College Football Playoff run. Howard finished his senior season with a 73 percent completion percentage for 4,010 passing yards and 35 passing touchdowns. Ohio State needed an answer in the transfer portal after Kyle McCord’s exit and they found it with Howard.

Not much longer that we have to wait to see where Howard ends up in the draft. One thing is for sure, Buckeye Nation will be behind him wherever he lands.
