He added one major storyline already linked to this late season contest. 

"The basic plot is this: Morris will be trying to prove himself against the league’s coaching kingmaker in McVay, who employed Morris as his defensive coordinator from 2021-2023," Kendall said. "The pair won a Super Bowl together, and the stint with the Rams is a big reason Morris is getting a second chance as an NFL head coach."

Morris grew popular among Rams defenders during his run in L.A. Former Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey openly raved about Morris' coaching. Kobie Turner also credited Morris in the past for his own development as a breakout rookie. 

Morris is now preparing for his second season with the Falcons. Atlanta went 8-9 overall under him and took second behind the division winning Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Morris never coached against McVay and the Rams last season. 

The Athletic also pointed out the Rams-Seahawks Week 2 battle, the Eagles contest in Week 3 and the Week 5 division confrontation with the San Francisco 49ers as the other "must watch" games.
