Richard Sherman concerned about Dak Prescott's number of interceptions

Though the Dallas Cowboys left Nashville with a 27-13 win over the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, quarterback Dak Prescott drew the ire of many with his two-interception performance, including former All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman.

The 34-year-old Stanford alum called out Prescott on Thursday’s national broadcast, throwing shade Prescott’s way for his high volume of turnovers this year.

“It’s concerning to see Dak have this kind of game,” Sherman said. “He’s played 11 games. Derek Carr just got benched for 14 interceptions. Dak is at 14 interceptions in three, four less games.”

Thursday’s game marked the fifth time Prescott has been intercepted multiple times this season, tying a career high. Prior to this year, Prescott had three or fewer multi-interception games in five of his first six seasons. His 14 interceptions this year are a new career high.

“To be able to play this position, you’ve got to have a short-term memory,” Prescott said of his two interceptions after Thursday’s game. “Whether the interception you feel is your fault, not your fault, whether you throw it to the guy and lose out on points before the half — you’ve got to be able to turn the page and just move on.”

Prescott has thrown an interception in six straight games, and there’s only been two games in which he wasn’t picked off.

For comparison, backup Cooper Rush has thrown just three interceptions this season, all of which came in a single game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 16.
