Rob Gronkowski Not Happy With Tom Brady's Broadcasting Expectations

All eyes were on Tom Brady as soon as the seven-time Super Bowl champ decided to sign a 10-year, $375 million contract to become FOX's top-billed NFL analyst.

Tom had never done any broadcasting to that point, or even shown any interest in doing so, but the network decided to take a big swing and put one of the most recognizable names in sports on its airwaves.

As with anything it was an adjustment for Brady, who was immediately put on FOX Sports' A-team alongside Kevin Burkhardt — and it didn't come without its criticism.

But friend and former teammate Rob Gronkowski thinks a lot of the pressure placed on Brady's shoulders has been "unfair" and that he's "loved" what the legendary QB has done since his transition to the booth.

"He's been developing throughout the whole year," Gronk told football reporter Crissy Froyd. "He was like a rookie quarterback coming in as the No. 1 pick [when he went into broadcasting]— a lot of pressure. There's no doubt about that. I think it was kind of unfair, some of the pressure he was getting at the beginning of the year."

"Some of the expectations were extremely high to the point that everyone thought he was going to come in and be the best broadcaster of all-time because of how much it was talked about."

"He has shown tremendous improvement from Week 1 to now where he has such a great grasp of it that he can handle any situation, and it's super enjoyable watching him succeed," Gronkowski said. "He is going to absolutely dominate when it comes to the playoffs and the Super Bowl."

Some folks may disagree. But whenever you have somebody as passionate and driven as TB12, you just know that they'll eventually be able to figure it out.
