Rob Gronkowski played in five Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during his NFL career, emerging as the winner three times. The iconic tight end also won a ring with quarterback Tom Brady and the Patriots while injured during the 2016 season, bringing his career total to four NFL championships.

Since retiring from football, Gronkowski has transitioned into a new career as an NFL analyst on television with Fox Sports. His impressive championship record as a player has not carried over as a pundit in recent years when it comes to his Super Bowl predictions.

Gronkowski's picks have been incorrect each of the past three seasons, but he did not hesitate when asked to try again ahead of this year's Super Bowl LX matchup between the Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.

Jimmy Fallon teed up the NFL legend to make a prediction on NBC's "The Tonight Show" by showing his trio of misses. Gronkowski incorrectly picked the Kansas City Chiefs to lose against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 and the San Francisco 49ers in 2024, then followed that by erroneously predicting the Chiefs to beat the Eagles last year.

Gronkowski put it all behind him and confidently announced, "I'm going to break the trend of being wrong."

"I'm going with the New England Patriots," he said, "and I will be right this time!"

Gronkowski also gave a score prediction. He took his former team to win by the same 28-24 scoreline they did when they beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl in February 2015. He finished that game with six catches for 68 yards and a touchdown.

This year's edition will look much different from when Brady's Patriots took on Russell Wilson and the Seahawks in 2015. Second-year New England quarterback Drake Maye will be matched up with Seattle's Sam Darnold, with both signal callers playing in their first Super Bowl.

After three straight misses, Patriots fans will hope that Gronkowski's luck has changed and that his prediction is not a kiss of death for his old team.

Super Bowl LX kicks off from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara at 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 8. Gronkowski will not be part of the game broadcast like he was last year for FOX, as it will be televised on NBC this time around.
