Robert Griffin III, a well-known figure in both the sports media and football worlds, is widely respected for his impactful career at Baylor University, his early success in Washington in the NFL, and his continued presence in media.
Throughout his career, Griffin has been vocal in supporting various causes, offering insightful opinion, and sharing his opinions on social media, where he connects with his fans and followers regularly.
However, amidst all of his public successes, Griffin III reminded his audience on Wednesday night that athletes and public figures, too, face personal struggles.
In an emotional message posted on social media, Griffin shared some heartbreaking news that his grandfather passed away at the age of 77.
"I always ask you guys what do you need me to pray for you about. Well I need you guys to pray for my family this time around. My Grandpa John has passed away at 77 years old. We love you Grandpa John. 3 people in the group photo have passed away. Tell your people you love them" Griffin posted.

Robert Griffin III often encourages his supporters to share their struggles, either in the comments or privately, so that he can pray for them and offer his support.
This time, however, he has asked for the roles to be reversed. Griffin is requesting prayers and support for himself and his family during an incredibly difficult time, after receiving some painful news.
Griffin has always used his platform to spread love and positivity. Since retiring from football, he built a wide following on social media, where he continues to uplift and engage with fans. He also launched the podcast “Outta Pocket with RG3”, which he co-hosts with his wife, featuring prominent guests and insightful discussions.
Nevertheless, while Griffin is typically the one spreading joy and encouragement to others, this is a time when the sports community can return the favor and offer the same love and support that he has so freely given.
