Robert Griffin III says nobody in Green Bay has the 'gonads' to tell Aaron Rodgers to sit down

Matt LaFleur, head coach of the Green Bay Packers, has some tough decisions ahead of him. 

On one hand, he has a four-time MVP quarterback in Aaron Rodgers who's a proud competitor who wants to play through two injuries. On the other, he has a young quarterback in Jordan Love who flashed some immense potential in Green Bay's last game. The Packers, remember, traded up and spent the No. 26 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on Love, so they have plenty of reason to give him a chance to ride out this abysmal 4-8 season to see if he can be the future in Green Bay or not.

It would seem like an easy decision — letting the future Hall of Famer get some needed time off to heal his body while giving the young gun a chance to shine, but former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback turned NFL commentator Robert Griffin III doesn't think the Packers have the mental fortitude to tell Rodgers to sit down and take a seat.

"The Packers should play Jordan Love but I don't think they will. I don't think there's anybody in that building that has the gonads to tell Aaron Rodgers he needs to sit down for the time being," RGIII said. "The best thing for the organization is to find out over the next five games whether Jordan Love is the quarterback of the future. I don't think they'll do that."

RG3 did praise Love, saying that he looked great in the fourth quarter of Green Bay's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Love had to replace Rodgers, who suffered a rib injury added on top of the broken thumb he's been playing with for weeks. 

The young quarterback completed 6-of-9 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown, and he looked crisp and confident doing it.
