Robert Kraft, at 83, passed over once again for Hall of Fame

Robert Kraft was indeed a frontrunner to enter be selected to the 2025 class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. However, as per ESPN’s Don Van Natta Jr., the selecting committee decided to honor someone else this time.

Robert Kraft, the six-time Super Bowl-winning New England Patriots owner considered a favorite for the 2025 class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, has been passed over again by the Hall’s contributor committee, sources told ESPN.

The selecting committee chose Ralph Hay, a co-founder of the National Football League and the owner of the Canton Bulldogs from 1918 to 1922. This means the businessman will have to wait another season to see if he is selected.

But this is not the first time the committee has passed him over. The committee considered him for the Hall of Fame for the 13th straight time. But there is no denying the fact that his contributions to the game of football warrant a gold jacket.

Robert Kraft’s hiring of Bill Belichick changed football

Robert Kraft has spent over half a century with the New England Patriots. First as a season ticket holder and avid fan, then owning Schaefer Stadium, which put him in a position to purchase the franchise in 1994.

Once he purchased the team, he saw early success. Most owners would be happy to continue that, but Kraft had other ideas. He traded a first-round draft pick to hire Bill Belichick, a move that set forward years of competitiveness.

Belichick and Tom Brady combined to win six Super Bowls, which helped the Patriots match the most wins in the league. But during those wins, they showed the rest of the league how to run a successful franchise. But even now, many have tried and unsuccessfully tried to replicate the same, indicating Kraft is a cut above than the rest of the owners.
