Robert Kraft, Patriots give meaningful donation to Damar Hamlin's charity

The New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills are tense AFC East rivals on the football field, but what happened to Bills safety Damar Hamlin on Monday night transcends football. There's not a single rivalry in sports that wouldn't be put aside in a moment such as this.

With Hamlin still in a hospital ICU after suffering a cardiac arrest following a tackle during Monday night's matchup between the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals, thousands have flocked to Hamlin's GoFundMe page to donate not to him, but to the toy drive he set up for his community a few years ago.

At the time of this writing, more than $6.5 million has been raised for the Chasing M's Foundation Community Toy Drive, and among the many notable donors, one stood out.

That's an incredible gesture by Kraft and the Patriots.

Other notable NFL figures to have recently made donations to Hamlin's cause include Jim Irsay and the Indianapolis Colts, Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady, Davante Adams and Russell Wilson, among others.
