The Tennessee Titans' new $2.1 billion stadium is expected to be completed in February 2027.
It might not be long after that the city of Nashville could host a Super Bowl, according to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who spoke to reporters about the situation Wednesday during the league meetings in Nashville.
“I think the stadium is going to be amazing,” Goodell said, via the Titans website. “We know the passion of the fans here – we experienced the draft here. I think a Super Bowl here would be very successful. But we'll get to that once we get a little further down the line with the stadium.”

Goodell’s optimism likely stems from the 600,000-plus fans who packed the streets of downtown Nashville for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Super Bowl host cities have been determined for the next three seasons — New Orleans in 2025, Santa Clara, California in 2026 and Inglewood, California in 2027.
Titans president Burke Nihill believes the team could be on track to potentially host a Super Bowl in 2029 once it has satisfied the NFL’s prerequisite of playing in a newly built stadium for two seasons.
“I think the NFL loves Nashville, and they love the design of the new stadium,” Nihill said. “That doesn't mean there aren't many, many details to work out to ultimately get awarded a Super Bowl. … But I am absolutely optimistic that at some point the Super Bowl will (be) in Nashville.”
Construction on the new 60,000-seat enclosed stadium, which is approximately 10,000 less than the current Nissan Stadium, began earlier this year along the East Bank of downtown Nashville.
