Ronald Jones Sends A Clear Message About His Future
Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs come into week eight controlling the AFC West.

With Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce dominating the passing game, it’s leaving Ronald Jones out of sight.

While Jones has yet to see action this season, it’s not stopping him from sending a message about his future.

So what is Jones saying about his future with the Chiefs?

Jones Wants Out Of Kansas City

With the Chiefs using Clyde Edwards-Helaire as their starting RB, Jones wants out of Kansas City.

The desire to leave KC is something he said via Twitter on Friday.

Not only does he want to be released, but he also feels the grass is greener with another team.

However, the Chiefs are one of the best teams in the NFL, right behind the Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills.

If he’s looking for greener grass, there are few options outside of his current team.

But his desire to leave comes from him being fourth on the depth chart.

With him seeing no action this season, he feels it’s time to go to a team that will play him.

While Jones is a Super Bowl champion with his old team, he’s far from his 2020 breakout season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

When playing for them, he split running duties with Leonard Fournette.

It was his best season, as he completed the season with 978 rushing yards and seven TDs.

He also was averaging 5.1 yards per carry that season, making him a threat in 2020.

With the Chiefs not using him, he knows he’s a skilled player that can stand out somewhere else.
