The Indianapolis Colts had high expectations for Tyler Warren, which led them to use the 14th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on the Penn State TE. Two weeks into his NFL career, Warren has certainly looked the part and has already made himself a focal point of the Colts' offense. The NFL is also taking notice, with them announcing Warren as the Pepsi Rookie of the Week for Week 2.

Tyler Warren named the NFL's Week 2 Pepsi Rookie of the Week

In the team's Week 2 win over the Denver Broncos, Warren caught four passes for 79 yards. This strong outing earned him the honor of being the NFL's Rookie of the Week. He was also a nominee for the award in Week 1 after he caught seven passes for 76 yards in the team's win over the Miami Dolphins, but the award went to Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka, who notably had two touchdowns, including a game-winner.

Warren now has eleven receptions and 155 yards through two weeks. He leads all TEs in receiving yards, and his future with the Colts and in the NFL seems very bright. There is a real possibility that he leads the Colts in targets and receptions as a rookie, and the team already believes they have one of the true elite TEs in the league.

Up next, Warren and the Colts have their first AFC South matchup of the year against the Tennessee Titans. Through two weeks, Warren has recorded at least 75 yards and four receptions in each game, which some may not think much of because he doesn't cross the 100-yard threshold. But if a player were to average 75 yards a game over all 17 of the season, they would finish with 1,275 yards. That would have been the most yards by a TE last season and the third most receiving yards overall.
