Russell Wilson Addresses Jeffrey Epstein Connection In Latest Tweet

Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson made a surprise appearance in some of Jeffrey Epstein’s emails – or at least his name did. A third-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the North Carolina State product quickly outplayed his draft capital and earned the Week 1 starting job over veteran Matt Flynn, a high-priced free agent signing. While he hasn’t played all that well in recent seasons, there was a time when Wilson was a perennial top-five quarterback in football.

During the peak of his career, Wilson was trying to sign an extension with the Seattle Seahawks while also looking to buy a plane. A person Wilson describes as “some random plane broker” emailed Epstein about potentially buying his plane after he signed the massive extension. This email was included in the latest leak, and the quarterback sent out a tweet following this revelation.

“Not TODAY Satan!” Wilson wrote. “Some random plane broker tried to sell me a plane. I had no idea whose plane and never bought the plane. Never talked nor never met the man. Thank God!!!”

Russell Wilson Addresses Appearance In Jeffery Epstein Files

Having your name in the Epstein files is never a good thing, but on the surface, it doesn’t appear as though Russell Wilson did anything wrong. The email records show that Wilson himself never reached out to Epstein, and the fact that the plane broker needed to put “(Seattle Seahawks quarterback)” in parentheses heavily suggests the two did not know each other.

Wilson ultimately signed the extension in April of 2019, but only spent three more seasons in Seattle. While he was dominant in 2019 and 2020, he struggled to play through injuries in 2021. Seattle ultimately traded him to the Denver Broncos, and the quarterback has struggled to recapture his pre-injury form with underwhelming stops in Denver, Pittsburgh, and New York.
