Russell Wilson had a forgettable season with the New York Giants in 2025.

Wilson joined the Giants in the offseason on a one-year, $10.5 million deal. He started the campaign as New York’s QB1, but was demoted to a bench role after starting the season with three straight losses.

Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart took over as the new starting quarterback — a role that the 22-year-old would keep the rest of the way. Wilson eventually dropped to a third-string QB behind Jameis Winston.

Wilson finished 2025 with 831 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions on 69 completed passes.

Despite his unremarkable campaign with the Giants, Wilson continues to make waves off the field. One of his ventures outside football is the Why Not You Foundation, which he established in 2014 with his wife, Ciara.

On Saturday, Wilson took to social media to share a big update about his foundation. The 10-time Pro Bowler announced the opening of the new Why Not You Teen Center in New York City.

“Grateful!!! Our new ‘Why Not You Teen Center’ in the Bronx!” Wilson captioned his Instagram story, sharing photos of the new facility.

Wilson’s foundation teamed up with popular home renovation show “George to the Rescue” and the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club to transform the new community space.

According to its website, the Why Not You Foundation is “dedicated to advancing education, children’s health, and the fight against poverty.” Wilson and his team took another step toward this objective with their latest move in New York.

As for his football, Wilson is now an unrestricted free agent. He will be looking for his next team as the Super Bowl-winning QB aims to remain relevant in the NFL in 2026.
