Russell Wilson Broncos jerseys outselling Tom Brady Buccaneers jerseys?

While with the New England Patriots, quarterback Tom Brady notched a Super Bowl XLIX win over Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks, thanks largely to one of the most-questioned play calls in NFL history. 

Both Brady and Wilson now have different employers, and this time it's Wilson who has one up on the G.O.A.T. heading into the weekend. 

Brady announced this past Sunday he was ending his brief retirement to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for another season, and Wilson officially joined the Denver Broncos via a trade from the Seahawks on Wednesday. According to a TMZ Sports report, Brady's Buccaneers jersey held the top spot for sales across Fanatics' network of sites until the Broncos introduced Wilson as their new QB1 on Wednesday afternoon. Since that time, Wilson's jersey has become the NFL's top-seller of the week. 

TMZ didn't offer specifics on exactly how much money has been spent by fans purchasing the two jerseys since Sunday evening. 

This isn't the first time Brady and Wilson have been linked this week. By returning to the Bucs, Brady should achieve his long-stated goal of playing until he's 45, which he turns in early August. Wilson, 33, said Wednesday his goal "is to play 10 or 12 more years and hopefully win three, four more Super Bowls." 

Perhaps the two will see each other on the field of battle for one more Super Bowl showdown before Brady calls time on his career.
