Russell Wilson Is Getting Roasted On Social Media
Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Despite the Denver Broncos starting their season 2-1, they have played bad football all season.

The Broncos’ offense looks terrible through three games and is averaging 14.3 points per game.

Luckily for Denver, their defense has played well and allowed them to win two games.

But, quarterback Russell Wilson, in his first year in Denver, has struggled.

He looks nothing like the player we saw for many years in Seattle and fans/social media is letting him know about it.

This is not the Wilson people were expecting in his first season with the Broncos.

He joined an offense with Javonte Williams, Courtland Sutton, and Jerry Jeudy.

Yet, none of those players are having a breakout season so far.

On the season, Wilson has thrown for 743 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

He has a QBR of 45.2 which ranks 21st in the NFL.

Wilson has not looked the same ever since he returned from a hand injury last year in Seattle.

Something seems to be off with his accuracy and ability to use his legs.

He was one of the best dual-threat QBs to start his career but now never uses his legs.

So far this season he has 20 rushing yards and that could be a reason why the Broncos’ offense looks abysmal.

The classic “Let Russ Cook” mantra that we heard for years in Seattle is now being mocked.

It is justified though after what we saw in Week 3.

The Broncos miraculously won the game despite having eight three-and-outs.

Playing in arguably the toughest division in Football the Broncos have to figure out their offense soon.

Despite the Raiders being 0-3 and the Chargers at 1-2 both of those teams have more offensive firepower than the Broncos.

That Week 3 Sunday Night Football game, showed two terrible offenses.

Jimmy Garoppolo and Wilson combined to score 21 total points in the game.

Twitter had plenty of fun with both of those quarterbacks throughout the game.

Those first three games were soft for Denver and they survived with two wins, but now how can they beat better teams?

Broncos’ Outlook

Denver now gets set for a Week 4 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.

This is the first game within the AFC West for Wilson and it is going to be tough on the road.

The Raiders are winless and they should play desperate in Week 4.

Denver’s lackluster offense is not going to cut it this upcoming week.

If they continue to struggle the Raiders should be favorites to win the game.

Denver has another tough AFC West matchup against the Chargers in Week 6.

Wilson has not been the only one taking heat in Denver as head coach, Nathaniel Hackett, seems to be overwhelmed early in his coaching career.

Hackett who came over from the Packers as an offensive-minded coach is now leading one of the worst offenses in the NFL.

The Broncos’ motto is “let’s ride” but that is the opposite of what their offense has been doing.

The personality of Wilson has been under fire as well, as he is a little dorky and does some things that are considered “cringe.”

But, one thing that solves all the issues is winning.

Denver has done that in two of their first three games but if their offense does not start producing they could be in trouble as their schedule gets tougher.
