Russell Wilson might prefer Broncos if traded?
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks do not appear to be interested in trading quarterback Russell Wilson, and Wilson does not seem to be planning to try to force a move. However, if Wilson does leave Seattle, he may have a destination in mind.

There is currently no momentum toward a Wilson trade, but several teams are interested, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Speculation around the league centers on the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, and Denver Broncos if Wilson were to be moved. However, Wilson would reportedly prefer to go to Denver instead of one of the interested teams in the NFC East.

Washington and Denver will both be in the quarterback market this offseason, and the Commanders in particular have been very aggressive. In fact, reports indicate they have already been rebuffed in an attempt to trade for Wilson. Seattle may have felt comfortable turning down a Washington trade offer for Wilson if they know he would not be particularly eager to play there.

Even some insiders have downplayed the idea of a Wilson trade, though the quarterback does not seem completely opposed to the possibility. He would have to approve any deal, so if he does not want to go to the NFC East, it’s not going to happen.
