Russell Wilson will be starting a new chapter of his career next season.
During the offseason, the former Super Bowl champion with the Seattle Seahawks signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants, making the move back to the NFC after playing two seasons with the Denver Broncos and last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
As Wilson gets acclimated with the Giants' system and its players, he has been vocal about his support for New York, continuously sharing posts on social media in connection with the organization and the city.
On Monday, Memorial Day, Wilson shared a post from the Giants honoring fallen soldiers during the holiday.
"Honoring the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation," posted the official social media account of the New York Giants.
Memorial Day is celebrated annually on the last Monday of May. It's a federal holiday honoring military personnel from the United States Armed Forces who died while serving the country.
The NFL also made a post, honoring fallen soldiers who fought for the United States.
"Today we honor and remember our nation’s heroes including NFL players, coaches, and team personnel who answered the call to service when freedom was threatened #MemorialDay #SaluteToService," posted the official social media account of the NFL.
Russell Wilson is heading into a new season with the New York Giants seemingly viewed as the No. 1 quarterback on one of the most talented QB rooms in the NFL.
Wilson will be joining fellow signal-callers Jameis Winston, Tommy DeVito and Jaxson Dart. The Giants struggled to a 3-14 record last season.
