Reports surfaced over the weekend stating that veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is leaning toward retirement. A report on Monday says otherwise.
According to Alain Poupart of Sports Illustrated, Fitzpatrick is "looking to continue playing" in 2021. However, he's expected to part ways with the Miami Dolphins and compete for a starting job elsewhere.
Fitzpatrick said during Super Bowl week that he wants to continue playing because he still loves playing football. He split time with Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback last season for the Dolphins and went 4-3, completing 68.5% of his passes for 2,091 yards and 13 touchdowns against eight interceptions.
The New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, Washington Football Team, Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints have been mentioned as the most likely landing spots for the 38-year-old.
It's unclear if any of those teams are currently the favorite for the Harvard product.
