Chicago Bears wide receiver Javon Wims was suspended two games for punching New Orleans Saints defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson in the head twice. While it seemed like Gardner-Johnson wouldn't receive discipline, he didn't get off scot-free.
The NFL fined Gardner-Johnson $5,128 for unsportsmanlike conduct for his part in the squabble with Wims last weekend, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Gardner-Johnson grabbed Wims' mouthpiece off his facemask and threw it down on the Bears' first possession of the second half. According to Wims, Gardner-Johnson also spit on him, prompting the punches.
In seven games this season, Gardner-Johnson has 35 solo tackles and two tackles for a loss. He'll be available to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
