The New Orleans Saints could get some strength in numbers back to them for a certain position group on offense in the coming weeks. Quarterback Spencer Rattler is still looking for his first win as a starter, and a couple of returns from injury could help him achieve that sometime this season.

Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill are both set to return to the playing field in some capacity this week. Check out the latest details on their situations below.

Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill eligible to return this week

The two tight ends have missed their necessary four games while on injury lists. Both have been on PUP to start the season after injuries late last year that took away their entire offseason. Moreau and Hill are veteran presences who have remained around their teammates during this chunk of time, though.

Both players will practice this week for the first time since their injuries last season, according to Kellen Moore.

It is also worth noting that the reworking of Taysom's deal made a larger incentive for him to return sooner rather than later. This could have been motivation for himself to rehab as efficiently as possible, but it also may have been a helping hand to the organization from the veteran player. Hill will lose $500,000 for every game he misses from Week 5 to Week 18 this season.

Both players can immediately play roles in the offense when healthy as well. Juwan Johnson has had some bright moments at tight end, but he is sometimes limited in the blocking game. Enter: Moreau, who has consistently provided value in that department. Not to mention, he's a capable red zone receiver as well.

As for Hill, don't be shocked if they deploy him in the running game some. If Moore wants to use the tush push more often when Hill returns, I think that makes a ton of sense considering his physical nature and power profile.

No matter what - both Hill and Moreau can be stepping stones to help Rattler garner his first win in the league. He has played very well at times this season so far, but the losses continue to mount. That must come to an end sooner rather than later if he wants to keep the QB job.
